How will the league division format work?

We intend for each division to be a competition within a year group. Teams will also be considered to progress to a higher age group division, if it is deemed that the level of play may be more suited to the ability of the squad.

What protocols are in place to ensure my child is safe?

The organisers of the league (Minis Netball Ltd) have full Public Liability Insurance.

Each League is overseen by a League Manager, who is a First Aider and on hand to deal with any accidents or emergencies. There is at least one qualified Umpire on each court to ensure safety throughout game play.

We have carried out an extensive risk assessment. This can be viewed HERE

Who needs to be present for the matches?

At least one adult must stay with the team throughout the game. At The Minis League, the adult must also be responsible for rotating the players positions, using our high 5 rotations sheet. These rotation sheets will be provided to you upon registration, or can be downloaded HERE.

My daughter is keen to play but doesn’t have a team - can she register as an individual?

Yes, we can take registrations from individuals and make an introduction to your new team when enough individual players have registered.

What happens if there are any issues on the night?

Our leagues all have a Venue Manager, who is the person responsible for the smooth running of fixtures on the night. Any disputes to do with score, rules etc, should be discussed with the Venue Manager in the first instance and then emailed to our League Coordinator Emma at info@minisnetballleagues.co.uk if you would like a further discussion.

Is parking available?

There is free street parking near to our Minis and Midis venues.

Can boys take part?

Our Leagues are inclusive and aim make netball accessible to as many children as possible. Boys may take part, however, you may not have a full team of boys and can only have 2 on court at any one time.

My daughter is keen to play but has played very little netball in school - does this matter?

Our leagues are all about fun and developing young netballers. Our umpiring team will support teams just starting out.

Does my team receive any coaching?

Our leagues are all about development and teams will receive coaching and tips throughout the game from our umpire team.

What happens if it rains?

Fixtures will take place in the rain, unless it is torrential, or the court is deemed unfit for play. Parents will be informed at least 1 hour before fixtures are due to take place if we need to cancel. Cancelled fixtures will be replayed at another date.

What happens if the team we are supposed to play doesn’t arrive?

If your opposition doesn’t show for their fixture, you will automatically receive a 10-0 win (Minis) or 20-0 win (Midis) from the game and you will play a small sided game in your team, ran by our umpires.
